Don't buy a Renault Espace!

I had a Chrysler grand voyager before and loved it. They are really roomy and nothing went wrong with mine in the 3 years i had it.

Depends on the kids ages, I have a Renault grand scenic which I love but now the kids are getting older the leg room in the back seats is getting too small, but it works well for smaller ones. My friend had a Peugeot 807 I think it was which had lots of room and they took out the middle seat to help with their 4.

CMax or there 4 of you try the i30 i know its not an mpv but it more roomie inside that it looks from the outside.

A friend of mine has 3 kids and loves her Chrysler for exactly the same reasons.

The best car I ever had was a Mecedes V2-Class, it's based on the Vito van, but with luxury car level trim. It had seven seats and the back ones were individually removable so you can have all sorts of combinations from a van to a seven seater.

Google it.........

Chrysler grand voyagers are awesome but be aware you will get scratched to death in car parks as they are the same size as most parking spaces

I spent half my life walking from the farthest corner of car parks just so no one would park next to me and knock another chunk out of the car.

Mine was old and already scratched

Also you don't have that problem of kids opening the doors onto another car as it has sliding doors....another bonus!

Grand Voyagers are huge, too big for most parking spaces. Ford do a good range. C-max is focus sized. S-max is mondeo sized and seats 7 and the Galaxy is bigger again. VW Sharan is identical to Galaxy. Also look at Seat Alhambra, identical to Galaxy and Sharan but may be cheaper.

Other models like Kia Sedona may be a lot cheaper, should be reliable but parts are rarer and may be more expensive

We had Fiat Multipla for 9yrs. Couldn't fault it. I have 3 kids. Saw them through from tiny until it sadly died on us.

My mum has the newer model so she can take out most of her grandchildren in one go. It's her second one.

Loads. One of the main injectors. The clutch. Something to do with the fuel getting blocked, that happened constantly. The worst one was when we broke down on our way to Devon. We ended up having to get a hire car out and take home as the Renault garage struggled to fix it. It cost a small fortune.

I used to dread driving mine with 3 kids in wondering when (not if) we were going to break down!!

Honestly get rid of it asap before it starts costing you loads of money.

That's what we currently have (espace) or had should I say, its broken again to the tune of 2,000 so a new mpv it is x thanks guys for all your help xx

That's impressive.....i got mine to do 5mpg....i obviously wasn't trying hard enough

I had the 3l petrol version though. I would assume the smaller diesel engine ones would be better for fuel economy?

We have an old ford galaxy...all the back seats come out so really handy for moving stuff about or pulling up in a railway siding for naughties

Caddy Maxi Life here - 7 full seats, DSG, huge boot and with the rear bench slid out big enough to swallow bikes whole.

Take the next row out and it is a long wheel base van

VW Master Tech who services mine won't touch them.

Loads of driveshaft issues, rear door locks are a known weak point, trim is virtually impossible to remove without needing new fixings, ABS ecu faults, etc.

They did a back door recall on them during services on several occasions.
