Clothing for a meet

Is anyone else picky about the other person's clothing on a meet?

I'm really picky. And I wish I wasn't! But unpredictably picky. Certain details on a shirt on a guy can make or break it for me.

I actually quite like a guy dressed casual - one guy turned up in a suit and I bet if he'd been wearing more casual clothes, I would've fancied him. As it was, I didn't.

Who else is mega picky about clothing? Does it make or break a meet for you?

I either wore what I was wearing to work (smart dress or shirt and trousers), or jeans and jumper/long sleeve t shirt if it was during my down time. I don't feel comfy dressing up and I don't have the motivation to either, my down time is spent relaxing and having fun.

It's part of the overall mix, if anything in that mix doesn't work for you then of course it can effect attraction.

No one complained either. I reckon a lot of people like to claim they have such high standards but don't enforce them.

I turned a guy down because he wore a white shirt with dark buttons on. Honestly it's like fingernails down a blackboard to me. I'm genuinely struggling to even post about it.

I saw him the next day in army uniform and was full of regret!

My husband thinks it's hilarious and constantly takes the piss out of me for it.

See? Crazy by name...

Yes, what a meet was wearing could easily put me off. Tracksuits are a particular area of disdain. I actually don't like suit suits either! Jeans and a T is probably my preferred 'look' on a guy.

I'm not hugely picky. I'd be pissed off if someone turned up in tracksuit bottoms or something but anything vaguely smart or smart casual suits me.

As for what I wear, it depends where I'm meeting them from. If it's a quick drink after work, I'll be in my work stuff but that's generally a work dress or a pencil skirt anyway. If I'm meeting them on a night then it would be a dress I'd wear for a night out. I wouldn't turn up to meet anyone if I didn't feel like I was well enough dressed for it.

Personally I would like the women to wear whatever she feels comfortable in. She can turn up wearing jogging bottoms jumper and granny knickers for all I care. I always try to dress in things I'm comfortable in because it makes no sense for me to wear something uncomfortable unless its for work.

That's why I only own 1 pair of jeans, to me even the loose fit is rather uncomfortable.

It depends on the person. The tiniest thing can put me off but then again overall I'm generally not bothered.

It's down to personal taste.

I'm generally a smart casual dressed person (shirt jeans shoes) which can be intimidating if the woman is in trakkies, but that's just the man i am....

You should see beyond the clothes though, especially if it'll be ending up on the floor

I'm fairly easy going regarding a gent's attire, my own would depend on when, hence a casual drink after work means i'll look quite formal, otherwise smart jeans and a blouse - always with heels.
