Glastonbury

Remember - there's a lovely city full of art and culture beyond the red light district.

Skip the Sex Museum.

Enjoy.

I don't remember a lot of my trip to Amsterdam

If you don't have a hotel yet then I recommend staying on one of the hotel boats. They are really nice and cheap and centrally located

Depends what you're looking for I guess.

The museums are very good. Vondlepark is great for chilling if it's sunny. Some good squares for people watching.

The Heineken museum is supposed to be good, but never made it there yet.

If you're there the 27th of April you're in for one of the best parties of your life. Kings day is just free Street parties and Orange everywhere. Every Street corner and boat has a sound system and people dancing.

Of course it's Kings day now. It used to be Queens day when I lived in Holland and was quite a spectacle

bar 74 For cocktails

Barbeque Castell For a steak

Top tip

Blue lights in windows are guys no matter what you think

casa rosso For sex show (take option for 6 drinks included, as alcohol so expensive in Amsterdam it pays for itself (laugh only not erotic)

If going with a girl check out sameplace near the fire station

in the night garden

The architecture is deplorable.

Chin up though, the people are delightful and their giggle cakes are a triumph!

Central

Try to get a fair bit of time off from the main tourist drags, as there are some wonderful areas that are great to chill in and explore.

The Van Gogh museum is excellent and the Rijksmuseum less specific but should really keep you entertained for a good few hours.

If you're thinking of taking a boat tour then ignore the main ones. There's one that operates out of a bar called Boom Chicago which is worth checking out. For the boat tour it's usually a small donation. They let you drink and smoke on the boat which is nice.

I found the bulldog bars pony to be honest.

Overpriced , loud and full off Herbert's.

The local bars off the beaten track are much more friendly and accommodating.

Heineken museum is good.

Van Gogh museum is very good.

Ann Frank house is well worth a visit but is quite sobering.

The live sex shows are a giggle.

Find a pub where you have a view of the knocking shops and have sweep stake on which window is chosen and how long a gentleman stays in there.

We go 27th May. I love it there.

Tails & spirits cocktail bar is great fun.

Casa rosso is the best sex show.

The bananabar is expensive but a great giggle.

Toro dorado steakhouse...Mmm

We're hoping to do a beer bike tour this time round. Canal tour is good. Don't bother with hard rock cafe!!

Enjoy, it's a beautiful place x

I agree Ann Frank house is worth a visit but try to get there b4 9am or else u will be queuing for a long time , wen me n my mates went we sat on canal side at a coffee shop getting stoned watching the guys we had met on the ferry over night visiting sex shops/Windows n it gave us plenty of fun winding them all up on the ferry home "

Ha that sounds like an amazing game!! I can see it turning into a drinking game very quickly. Tried to get some tickets for Anne Frank's but they are all booked. Guess it will have to be a sex show instead!!

I was outside the grasshopper a few weeks ago. I don't think it's a coffee shop anymore. Certainly didn't smell like it
