What have you done today (ever) for something you feel really strongly about

So I'm fresh out of the establishments clutches once again and all for a passion about the planet!....

Some say, it achieves little others say progress isn't progress unless somebody pushes the paradigm.

So what are you willing to do for something you feel passionate about?, there's alot of talk about the EU but who's actually doing anything about it except voting?.

.

Let's face it, most of us have put in hundreds of hours in our children's welfare because we care.. So what else gets you motivated the same way...

I've done plenty for causes I care about. I'm a vegetarian for my own moral reasons, for example. But the thing I have probably worked hardest against in my life was the Iraq war...lot of good that did, eh?

I was a caseworker - drugs/alcohol/mental health, families, homeless &c in London for 10 years.

There's no point sitting around at home feeling maladjusted, smoking mary jane thinking you're gonna change the world. Sometimes you've gotta fight.

I have many friends who are vegetarian for the reason they just don't feel able to "do it".

I think vegetarianism will be the big thing in the future... Consider yourself a pioneer

I think your wrong, I think it had a huge affect, I was also one of the million.

We didn't realise it at the time but... Let's face it, without that march, there'd be in Syria, Libya and quite possibly Iran by now!.

In my own little world I stand up for who and what I believe in. I'm happy with that.

I tend to get passionate about things I believe are unfair or morally wrong I guess. I've lobbied my MP and met him about an issue I felt was wrong. He tabled a question in the Commons about the issue I raised, copying me in on it all and eventually, due to lots of people's involvement it did get changed.

I can't share the other main thing as it might identify me - but it did help and felt good to do.

I'm a firm believer in standing up for your beliefs and to prepare to stand and be counted.

I was in New York and Washington DC...I also did a lot more than just march against it. And I agree, it did fuck all.

I think that is the problem with a lot of these things. It let's us sleep at night feeling happy with ourselves while simultaneously achieving little actual tangible good.

Now where would you be today as a woman without somebody starting the paradigm shift, a woman died under a horse without any change whatsoever!, but here you are today with a vote and workers rights and abortion rights, contraception, equal pay.

These things don't come overnight but they start with a march that will seem to amount to nothing!
