I've got 4 kids and they don't listen half the time, i've never got angry enough to hit them. Getting angry and violent isn't a valid option.

Support groups on facebook mainly, with people who have also been abused who will help you if they can. They helped a lot for me, if something didn't make sense (because abusers/sociopaths don't think like non-abusers) they explained a lot of things.

And once i understood, and also stopped concentrating on, things that didn't make sense i started concentrating on working on me.

I've got boundaries now, still not great at applying them with people who haven't done anything that bad to me but i'm working on it. Been with 2 sociopaths so far so i figured out some stuff with the first one i was with and cut him dead for my own sake, but going through it again with someone else made me realise i wasn't keeping myself safe still.

Richard Grannon i found helpful, there's loads of youtubers and you might find one who you understand what they're saying and that will help. Not sure i need to go to a doctor or anthing because i feel ok now, just got a really bad memory still. But felt like i was going mad about 10 months ago because so much of my last ex didn't make sense. I also probably have CPTSD from childhood abuse, but it helped me deal with stuff i couldn't deal with, which i found out about from Richard Grannons youtube channel.
