I'm sure Nigella has something she's tossed together.

Nigella's quadruple chocolate loaf cake is the best cake I've ever tasted.

I think it's her lemon drizzle recipe I use too.

no need to fanny around adding fancy schmancy stuff like poppy seeds etc...

keep it nice and simple is my suggestion

I was going to recommend his recipe

It's got dark rum in it

Agreed! I don't like poppy seeds... spoils a lemon drizzle for me.

I was tempted by the Ramond Blanc but the one Insaw had cream and there is no cream in the fridge.

Ive amalgamated Jamie and Mary Berry lol

No poppy seeds or almond flour but I have put lemin juice in the mix as well.

Just going in the oven now. Should be ready to eat in just over an hour

Pop round and have some

What was that about triple chocolate?

Make a lemon layer cake like a drizzle but has your own homemade lemon curd in the middle

On a lemon theme :-

M & S have a lemon meringue cube mix that I've bought today to test out.

My friend made a lovely dessert the other day - crunched up ginger nuts and walnuts , then lemon curd layered on top, then raspberries mixed in with creme fraiche and cream. Chocolate sprinkles to finish.

It only needs one person to make a cake ...but at least two to share it
