I suppose it depends on how much you dislike them, and the situation. Beer goggles change everything, including common sense.

I used to use another website and on that site was a woman who, from her posts, was someone I knew I'd detest if we met face to face. We were fundamentally poles apart and her posts were obnoxious and, in the main, insulting to anyone they were targetted at. This is an interesting point... probably not the time to admit to my secret hankering after Edwina Currie, who in any normal situation makes my skin crawl. I think sexual desire (and whatever drives that) can over-ride rational likes/dislikes.
