I would look out of the window from upstairs first before I would come down to answer the door.

That's why video entry systems were invented.

No need, the doors never locked. I'd be more worried if they did knock.

Big gates, cameras and an alarm that goes directly to the police? Oh, and a nasty bugger answering the door. Nah! Let em knock, they'd be better off ringing the bell though... Or running away!.

Had that happen twice in the last 6mths.

One was a d*unk who should be hammering on next doors.

One was a someone i saw every now and then....

On his way home from chams...probably didnt get lucky so thought he would pop in to see if i was ok...

He still didnt get anything

The last time that happened (we'll ok, it was 3.30 but we won't split hairs about the time) it was the pollis telling me that they'd found my van at North Blyth and did I know it had been pinched ....

Yes - we've had it happen a couple of times - police after the teen who lived in this house before us and once police returning something of ours which had been stolen (f***ing antisocial time to return a motorbike!!)

We have a full length window next to our front door, so I'd look out of that if there wasn't anything obvious like a police car on the drive

yes

the last time it happened a joy rider had crashed into our car and had we not gone we would of missed watching a local guy dragging the not so joyfull rider back by the scruff of his neck into the hands of the police

It wouldn't matter if I was woken up I'd be pissed off and if I pissed in a bucket that would be dropped from my window

I wouldn't even answer it at 5pm but then its usually someone trying to get me to change my gas supplier.

south staffs

Yes I would.

It is usually a breakdown looking for the nearest garage, or someone d*unk who has crashed through our hedge - again !

We also get the police around quite often . . . due to having a penitentiary institution quite close by.

Life is at its most interesting at around 5am . . . . . . .
