little house on the praire

Do you think we are more eccentric than people that live with someone else. Ive lived completely alone for nearly 5 years and i do think some things i do may seem slightly odd to others (excluding mr muscle flavoured veg as that was an accident) or maybe im just odd full stop

I'm slightly odd myself But I'm better living alone- it's more fun- I can do exactly what I damn well like!

I'm still very new to the party... now living alone (when the nipper ain't around) for the first time in my life... and I'm a thirty-something, ffs!

I went straight from the family home to sharing houses at university and then to living with my ex, without passing Go and without collecting £200.

I'm finding it liberating but also a bit of a pain in the arse at times. I can do the ironing in my boxer shorts without getting moaned at, and can go to the toilet safe in the knowledge nobody is going to interrupt me... which is nice.

But sometimes, like tonight, I can't be arsed cooking just for myself. Or I hear a funny joke that I want to share, but there's nobody at home to tell it to - apart from the cat, and he doesn't seem to find much stuff funny.

I'm not used to being lonely and it's taking some getting used to, to be honest. Even to the extent where I'm sometimes a bit annoyed that it's the weekend as it means I'm not gonna see many people for a couple of days.

Shit, that makes me sound like a sad loser, doesn't it?

Before moving in with Siren I lived alone for a few years and when you are accountable to nobody it's very easy to get into your own way of doing things. Adjusting to living as a couple is still difficult even now, three years later.

You don't like it when your girlfriend is home and you're looking to cheat on her, can I ask why you even have a girlfriend?

we stay with my mum... which is a nightmare. Then mr sticky is away at the end of the month, so its me and my mum, which is worse... would much rather be living alone then! will need to throw myself into work all the time!
