As pancake day is fast approaching...what's your favourite thing to fill em with.

I'm old school and go for more butter with sugar and lemon.

The Forest

Black cherries and cream. They're best when the pancake is still hot and the cream still cold, so you have to eat them quickly

Sugar & Lemon. No other way for me. As I don't eat them at any other time I usually pig out and have four or five.

Butter and maple syrup, with a sprinkle of ground toasted sesame seeds is probably my favourite.

However, I shall try them with cream of limocello liqueur as I believe that would work well.

Oooooooh you poor british people, you have never tasted REAL pancakes.

Milk, eggs and flour is soooo bland and boring. If anyone is brave enough to try the real thing, pm me for the recipe! ( It is the secret ingredient that makes the difference ! )

To answer the OP's question : lemon juice, maple syrup and squirty cream.

Jane x

Shrove Tuesday is Fat Tuesday. Mardi Gras is also celebrated at this time. Giant parties, parades, and costume balls .

A day of excessive indulgences and consuming everything that is potentially bad for you. Over eating, drinking, dancing and carrying on until all hours of the night are all indulgences of the flesh that are all common at Mardi Gras.

Where Are the Celebrations? The two best known places for the celebration of Shrove Tuesday in the secular sense are New Orleans and Rio de Janeiro. On Mardi Gras in New Orleans almost anything goes. There is public nudity in the streets of the French Quarter and the streets and bars are filled with parties galore.
