My mbox has apparently died, it won't go past the logo screen anymore. So I'm looking for a replacement.

Firestick and chromecast have been mentioned, any recommendations on what to get?

(Not a PS4, I'm not buying an expensive games console to watch TV)

The Mbox logo comes up but it won't go any further than that, unfortunately

Reading

Mine did same. Just went to logo screen and stopped. Tried all reset etc. Friend tried reloading software. But seems would not restore. Have not bothered since to get another. If anyone has recommendations let know. I also do not want to buy a consule just to watch films.

So far it's been suggested I buy a firestick and watch stuff through kodi, that seems to be a popular option

I have the firestick and yes it's amazing however I have noticed it's quite slow at loading up, and due to its low memory buffering can be very slow. It may be better to get the box version.

If you use maintenance tools and delete cache it will speed things up

Firestick £35 and you can jailbrake it yourself
