Bradford

Or a whole plain, yet still tastes as good, cake?

Who cares if it's 10.5 cm long and 5.25cm wide.... (I'm watching last night's GBBO Creme, lol)

Home made jam sponge which is nice and moist with a scattering of Iceing on top and a cup tea/coffee is a nice follow up to dinner.

If I'm paying high end patisserie prices, I want it perfect. If I'm eating something a friend has made, anything tasty will do.

The forums have a serious obsession with cake.

A year here and I just don't get it.

We enjoy food with all our senses. A crappy looking cake that tastes nice won't sell. You'll eat it if you made it yourself, or your child made it, but you wouldn't hand over money for it.

Any, as long as it's moist and made with real ingredients not cheap supermarket crap.

I hate dry cake and fake overly sweetened buttercream etc

(My hobby is baking and decorating novelty cakes btw!)

I've given up my attempt to trade your cakes for apples. You people are beyond help!

Try starting off with a nice moist apple cake and gradually wean us off the cake content.

I hate those cupcakes everyone is making now. Women seem to think, because they can open a packet of sponge mixture and dollop loads of sickly buttercream icing on it,they are bakers. Most look pretty but taste awful.

I don't make anything. I'm hopeless in the kitchen. But I do love pancakes, no butter, with maple syrup. My mom makes them for me when I visit home.
