Things that no longer exist ..

So many great things from my childhood no longer exist or are very rarely used now - and the world is a lesser place for it.

I'm thinking Spangles (gone), VHS videos and the tracking control to improve the wobbly picture (rarely used), Evel Knievel stunt bike toys (sadly discontinued..)

What other things have disappea_ed from our lives?

Bonus points for the first person to say 'white dog poo'

I know, what's that all about, I walked pass one and I had to like double check/look at the make of car. I was like "never a mini, more like a MAXI".

What is it with cars now. I mean the have so many gizmo's/stuff in them you get a manual the thickness of a dictionary to work out all the workings of all the buttons/media player etc.

A camera for reversing, I mean really I'm driving a car not a damn HGV, which does need camera.

I was *delighted* a couple of weeks ago to stumble across a shop still selling stink bombs, itching powder, fart powder, fake blood, and whoppee cushions! And the packaging was EXACTLY the same as when I was a kiddie in the 70s and 80s! Got a little bit misty eyed I'll tell you ..

Fankoo!

Yeah there were little to no regulations on dog food manufacturing until the mid 80's. Basically before then they used to bulk up dog food with chalk and ground stones. So once a dog egg had dried out all you saw was the chalk and stone depending on how cheap the dog food was you bought.

"Shoot! Magazine league ladders. Every Sunday afternoon it took hours taking them all out and putting them back in the right order again .. "

These still exist, although maybe not Shoot! branded anymore as I think that went by the wayside.

The terraces we used to stand on to watch football have all sadly gone now though (at the top level anyway).
