My thoughts are with your friend...if it's any comfort at least he can feel the dog left this world loved and with a comforting hug.

I have 3 dogs and a few months ago my eldest took I'll , spent night at vets and next day the vet said it's not good as there was no response at all from my dog , I travelled to the vets knowing the kindest thing to do was put her to sleep.....I asked for a few mins with my dog , vet prepared the needle....I sat on floor in tears....called my dogs name.....she lifted her head and stood up.....I'm thankful that she is still with me after 5 months ago she was moments from being put to sleep.

My point being....I firmly believe that a dog " knows" when it's time , hence why your friends dog put her head in your friends lap...to say her goodbye with affection.

I used to do a lot of work with a ragdoll rehome group.

Breaks my heart how people treat animals sometimes.

I know....every day I still have her I count as a blessing....she will be 15 yrs old this year and I've had her since she was 8 weeks old.

I've "lost" 3 other dogs in last 3 years , all went to " rainbow ridge" loved and missed.

The downside to having a pet is outliving them.

Chams or Socials

We don't have any pets but my boys are very close to my dads dog. I dread the day anything happens to her as I know they will be absolutely heartbroken

He just needs to remember he gave /gives them a good life .

I'm dreading it as my dog and cat are getting old and my dog is starting to have health issues

My wee Scottie was failing fast and we had made the decision that the time had come to take him along to the vets for the last time. While we prepared, I wrapped him in a blanket and put him by the fire for a wee sleep. He hadn't made a sound for years..all barking had stopped, but he lay in his wee basket and started to cry. I thought my heart would break. He absolutely knew what was happening. Miss him so much.

I know how you feel ,been on a petition website signing some to get justice for some poor animals that had been abused .

Felt so strongly sent all my customers the links and asked to sign .bless them all they did and to prove it sent pic's to prove it .
