Does anyone on here know where i could take a Louis Vuitton purse to be authenticated in the west mids area or close?

I know theres a shop in London but trying to avoid going that far unless i really need to

Reason im asking is i have just bought one off ebay that was sold as 100% genuine and to be fair it has come with all the packaging, receipt and authentication certificate which are all genuine but theres just something about one of the zip buckles thats made me wonder if ive been conned so i would like to get it looked at

Ive looked on the net but cant seem to find anywhere that sells them to take it to get looked at so any help would be great

Thanks

There's an LV shop in Brum opposite St Phillips Cathedral. Or there was anyway.

if its a fake and you take it to be examined in an LV shop don't expect to get it back from them. they'll keep it and destroy it

Angus & Findhorn

Did the seller have good verififcations on Ebay.

and what other items did they sell and buy.

I bought an Issey Miyake jacket from there...should have been Issie Mukaye.

eventually got a refund tho.

But as has been said... they will not want you to keep it.

Try their website... you should be able to check on there.

If you can't , they should list authorised suppliers.

Even some of the fakes are now pretty much indistinguishable from the genuine article nowadays, it takes an expert and even they get it wrong.

Do what Polo suggested and hopefully you will get your answer. Packaging and auth certificates can easily be fake. Ebay sell loads of Tiffany jewellery all coming complete with the turquoise coloured box, all of it fake.

If you brought them in China for a tenna it's going to be fake, can get the same in Tunisia with certificates but they will tell you there they are genuine copies lol

I thought all women could tell fakes at 15 paces.

I've lost track of the number of times I've heard one woman say to another 'look at that old tart with her fake [insert brand name] handbag'

If you want the real item then pay the extra money & buy from the original store.

If your going to pay a lot less money to someone from ebay or any other site then expect to be buying a fake product.

Simples!!

I don't care for labels, real or fake. I have nothing with a high priced name on it and would never spend a penny on them!

If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually is!

Good luck though

I've never sold anything online but I'd imagine the way to flog fakes would be to make the price 20-30% less than RRP of the real thing so it still looks like a good deal for the purchaser but doesn't arouse suspicion - passed off as an unwanted gift or similar.

How much is it RRP over the counter in LV and how much did you pay on ebay?

As far as I know, fake goods can be seized… as the theft is from the protected brand name.

Any possibility that it may be genuine and just had a broken zip/clasp replaced by someone?
