I've never thought of pets as possessions and I'm not really attached to any material things, they're all replaceable.

My house gives me the greatest security/comfort. Having paid the mortgage off 15 years ago, it allowed me to have 10 glorious "gap" years, and even now I only work 34 weeks a year

I don have a possession that I've purchased that I am attached to, I'd be upset if I lost my phone as its my life line but that's about it, I guess photos of my kids is the main thing, all the CDs and stuff with them on

My obvious one, since pets don't count would be the house. It took me 6-7 years to pay off the mortgage which I'm pretty chuffed about. However, beyond that, my rare book collection is quite nice. Or possibly my address book.
