"So I've been offered a new contract with my current employers, same salary, 3 months notice. I enjoy the job, however there is no job security. I have two interviews in the next couple of weeks for more secure and better paid jobs. My dilemma is do I:- A- Sign with my current employer, go to the other interviews, then work my three month notice if I get one of the jobs. Or B- Explain the situation to my current employer, not sign the contract, await the interview outcomes and risk not getting either job and my current employer withdrawning their offer??? Any advice appreciated, especially if you've been in a similar situation. ![]() My thoughts are you should take up the offer of with your existing employer to give you peace of mind for the short term. For the long term security attend the interviews and explain you are on three months notice. If they want you they will wait the three months.

"does it mention what the penalty is for not working out your notice .... usually it's offset against any holiday pay, but if no holiday pay is owing then what have you got to lose by just walking if you get offered one of the other jobs?" This !!! Notice means absolutely nothing unless it has a penalty in your contract going early - hence better to leave on pay day Most employers would sack you at the drop of a hat
