annual invasion

same place every year since i moved here - trail of ants from the front door along the hall - round the corner into downstairs loo - very orderly and no fighting - but never there more than a couple of days once i put down the white powder - house looks like we hae the plague with its whiteline across the front doorstep

You need to find the nest. Although it sounds like you'd miss them if they didn't come back next year.

i have a small row of flagstones - lifted them and powdered the ant trails there in the past ) fascinating to watch btw) but must go under the tarmac drive - or lawn and im not lifting them - they dont do any harm and the kids say yay the warmer weather is on its way when we see them -

Its amazing the damage they can actually Cause !!!

An ex neighbour of mine saw his block paved driveway turn from snooker table flat to the surface of the moon because the ants moved the sand from under the blocks.
