Guardian newspaper invests in offshore tax haven.

Just listening to David Cameron speech in the commons on tax avoidance/evasion, he just said the Guardian newspaper invests in an offshore trust (tax haven) as does Islington council (now who is the MP for Islington again?)

The bit that was interesting was the number of "ordinary" people who have their homes in an off-shore trust.

Lots of pensions must be invested in off shore funds.

Isn't the Isle of Man different too for tax purposes or did I imagine that ? And what about the Channel Islands?

Many people and companies invest in offshore funds. Investing in an offshore fund does not equate to tax dodging. Most funds are subject to income tax, both on profit and realization.
