Toenail emergency

One of my toenails has a rough edge. Is this a medical emergency? Should I go and see my doctor?

(What? It's no more dull and drossy than many of the other threads posted this morning!)

I'm afraid the only solution is to remove the toe. This will prevent further recurrence of this problem.

Don't forget to take some stock cubes (at least 29 individual cubes). A+E don't let you in these days without them. xxx

I lost 1 of my nails after a big bloke trod on my foot at Christmas. It's finally growing back but another has been damaged. I thought I'd need medical intervention - pretty feet are very important to me!!!
