How do you explain to a 7 year old that you don't always win £250 on a 33/1 outsider when gambling! Rule the World rules!!

4 bets of £5 each way, had 1st, 2nd and 5th, the other one came 9th

Good maths lesson though. I take my kids to the races and teach them about the odds and get them to work out how much I'd get if I won

As long as they realise that if you lose you can't get the money back. Funniest bit was 7 year old asking how you get the money from the computer!!

Oh they understand that definitely. My 8 year old asked how can Xbox games cost money as I bought it online, he couldn't grasp the card details were stored and they take it from the bank. Mind you, he still thinks I pay for my Tesco shop with my clubcard, oh I wish
