meets on my travels !!

posted a similar thread a good while back and had some interseting feedback !!!

I travel all over the UK carrying out site surveys !! so am in different locations daily,

For example yesterday I was in Bath in the morning then Slough at lunchtime then back to Liverpool.

So my question is !! if I was in your area and contacted you a day or 2 before and asked you if you fancied a social meet maybe lunch or a coffee would you be offended.

I just see it as a chance to meet some nice people off here have a chat !!! maybe some fun lol !!! but the main thing would be to put the real face to the avatar.

All comments greatly appreciated.

We tried arranging a meet whilst travelling somewhere last year. All fixed up or so we thought, we had explained that we're not normally down that way. Got nearer to the meet and heard nothing, just though oh well never mind. Then two weeks ago he mailed us and asked if we'd like to catch up with him sometime. Had to point out that geographically we were over 200 miles away and wouldn't travel that far just for a meet. Bit different for you though, if you're travelling anyway you've got nothing to lose really.

If we'd been in communication and you were in my area and it was just a social meet, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

If however you were in your hotel and trawling through who's online and contacted me, then I would be offended as I'd assume you'd want to wine and dine me in the hope of getting me back to your hotel for a shag.

OMG you said Costa - my second home lol. And a Raymond Feist fan aswell. Yep, I'd be there.

Generally, I'd be happy to have coffee with people from here if they were in my area - why would I be offended. I'd be flattered to be asked.

Wolf would be the same.

I would meet people in the area.

Though got to say only if they messaged a couple of days before, so I could get a feel for them through messages.

Wouldnt meet some guy in a hotel room after 2 messages.

Costa is ok so is a cuppa @ home ..

I travel about daily - occassionally meeting can work out but most don't seem keen..

Thing is I travel about to the areas again too having A fair patch...

People tend to assume your just after a quick one off ...

Be great to have arrangements and I can do overnights too if required.

Rather have a drink in company ...

Enjoy meeting new people anyway (don't intend on fucking all)

Get the offer to provide electrical/plumbing skills at times ...

Personally I'd say its a bit like cold call sales...

Do correct me if I am wrong
