Hubby away on business, was due back last night, called me up from the bar last night to break the news he was staying another night as was going out for beers and dinner with vendors, so I had a rant for a few minutes about leaving it late to tell me, I had made plans etc, was on a good rant for a few minutes and felt better, then I paused my rant and it was silient, I said hello, said hello again, then a voice came on the call and said

Hi I'm Bob, hubby went to the bar 5 minutes ago, he said he would be back before you stopped ranting

You have to give him points for his cheek

That is actually awesome. But if he doesn't grovel for England on his return, he's crackers.

I was once mid-rant at an ex and he literally picked me up, plonked me on the kitchen work top and said "you can stay there until you calm down and act your age". Eventually I shuffled into the sitting room, head hanging in shame.

Quite a brilliant tactic.
