I don't take pictures of my untidy room, but it is always untidy because I am not a tidy person. Tidying up means I am changing who I am for the other person, not something I do very much

I kinda like it because it tells you a lot about a person. And I don't mean whether they are tidy or not. Once I saw a picture of a guy, he took it in his mirror. But, stuck into the mirror frame were all sorts of things, including photobooth pictures of him kissing who I assume (rightly or wrongly based on how they were kissing...) was his girlfriend. Interesting.

I don't tidy up....i crop it out

I wish i lived in a show Home but i live in a Family home where both of us work Damn hard. There's not enough hours in the day to keep everywhere spotless at all times....so i begrudge being called lazy.....however....i wouldn't provide pictorial evidence of my slovenly ways

I make sure I have a tidy background, not because I'm neat and tidy, but because I don't want anyone to recognise me from things which may be in shot!

Yes i see the untidiness and think thank Fuck i have so much to fill my life that i don't have to worry about a bit of mess. Then i spend my spare time doing stuff with my kids rather than worrying about the mess they have made because life is so short and they aren't kids forever and i want them to have happy memories of me...not of me chasing them round the house with a Hoover and yelling at them to put their toys away rather than play with them. But that's just me.

I look for clues in the pictures too. If someone is too tidy I know they will do my head in .... can't be tidy and be a free spirit ...

My house often looks untidy with the kids toys during the day but my house is never unclean there's a difference between in tidy and unclean that being said I'd pick the toys up and put them away before taking a pic or meeting someone

I agree with you there Scarlet but if you're taking a picture to entice someone to meet you for sex, you're a single person of 23 and the floor around your feet is ankle deep in underwear it's not much of an aphrodisiac. In fact I'm sitting in a fairly untidy house about to go for a nice walk and a coffee while it's sunny but there's no way I'd get my kit off, pose among the rubbish then post it on the net it's tough enough for a miserable old bag as it is

Yes i agree....it's the assumption that because there's clutter about that somehow makes you lazy that really grinds me.

I think there's a big difference between the untidyness caused by children and general life to a photo that looks as if all the drawers and wardrobe have been emptied on the floor along with the contents of the rubish bin. Plus if you are wanting to entice someone to meet and play with you then a fairly tidy background will work better than a very messy one
