I think it is a damming indictment on British politics today.

What do the rest of you think?

SW London

Saw the video on TV last night, must have been in ITV then, we were about to turn it over, as you do, but found it hilarious ... worth a vote

Green Party are boring. If they sexed it up, they'd get coverage, but they don't. They've always been low in inches/broadcast time but don't do anything to change it.

There is a written criteria for who gets free air time for party political broadcasts. the BBC have not refused the green party, they just don't have enough MPS to qualify.

Think you will find UKIP and the Monster Raving Loony party are also excluded, and the LibDems can't be far behind either.

on the road to nowhere in particular

It's not the number of MPs, it's the number of candidates standing

"It's not the number of MPs, it's the number of candidates standing"

Thanks, I remembered there was a criteria but not exactly what it was.

My thoughts? No, it is not a damning indictment.

If every party with a candidate were given air time, there would be nothing else on television. The Greens do not have sufficient candidates to qualify.

Why do you think it is a damning indictment?

That as I watch 6/7 year old children playing out our politicians conduct all I can think is they should be past that stage by 5!

Surely, you mean that they should be past that stage by age 6 or 7?

I don't understand your point, though.

Derbyshire

It's a conspiracy I tell you.

I can't work out whether it's a conspiracy of the right to stop the Greens being heard,

a conspiracy of the left to consolidate their vote while splitting the right-wing vote,

or a conspiracy of the Greens to deliberately misunderstand the difference between a Party Political Broadcast and a Party Election Broadcast and use it to increase the number of people watching their video...

Either way it's definitely a conspiracy, isn't it always?

Watch the link...

I think they are acting like 3 or 4 year olds rather than 6 or 7 year olds.

But they are perfectly mimicking our political leaders. That is a grave indictment on our politicians!

I have no wish to watch Green propaganda and am quite able to make my own mind up about our political system, parties and leading politicians without being influenced by some minor party's twaddle.

I am just as likely to be influenced by the Loony Party's promotional material.

I am not saying vote green, I am not even saying that their political message has merit. I am saying watch how they depict the mainstream parties and weep as you see how accurate their caricatures are.

And I am saying that I can make my own mind up without watching parodies by a parody of a party (or by anyone else, when it comes down to it).

There is a great deal that is wrong with our political system and parties. There is also much wrong with many people's reactions to politics. Life is grey, not black and white. Solutions to problems are often not simple. Don't just criticize. Suggest alternative policies.

I'm not a Corbyn fan but I do appreciate his reluctance to enter the personality-bashing forum.

Although I don't agree with many of Corbyns policies, his approach has been a breath of fresh air

Just watched it on YouTube. It's one of those things that sounds like quite a good idea on paper but wasn't actually very funny or well done.

It's also a bit hypocritical to accuse others of being childish and then start talking about such Ill defined terms as "greedy corporations".

Maybe Natalie Bennett is still pissed off that she blew her chance to explain how the Greens would fund their core policies... Oh well
