Playing conkers, British bulldog.

Making machine gun noises and telling your mates your bullet proof.

Grenade proof etc

Turn around touch ground bagsy not it, kick the can,spud guns, kiss chase,the cane, learning to play Londons burning on the recorder, making your own gocart, shirts and skins, playing pirates in the gym.

Action man with eagle eyes.

Kids miss out on so much these day's.

Anything I have missed?

The land of grey peas and bacon

That toy you put your foot through the circle bit and you had to jump over the thing at the end...if it whacked your ankle it used to bloody hurt

There isn't much from that list that my kids don't do.. Except the cane, kiss chase and action man.

My daughter is currently on her pirate ship ( some crates and a sheet) and being captain foxy...

At school in the gym, totally different game.

But fair play.

Using one's imagination is great.

A little more apprehension for parents while their kids are on the streets, the parenting path of least resistance with a TV or games console and the ridiculous 'health and safety' initiatives.

So much was easier when we just weighed 3 or 4 stones.

We did everything when we were younger and I'd hope I'd do it if i was a kid again.

Elastic and skipping were fun but now I skip for exercise not entertainment.

Does anyone still have their marbles?
