There is nothing like being ravished in a public play area to give a man self confidence about his body

WalK around a swimming pool, let alone a club or nudist beach, and you'll see many a different body shape

The mind boggles at some of those in a pair of speedos

Don't know about dad bod, but I definitely don't qualify as 'ripped' or 'fit'. Having said that, doing a wee bit of work in the gym has given me a bit more confidence lately..

I guess the number of profiles stating they only want to meet 'ripped', 'fit', 'in shape' guys is off putting for some.

But then what is 'in shape'? I am 'in shape' - it's not a shape most would recognise really. More of a play doh stuffed back in the can sort of shape really.

I can't see a dad bod only cock photos? Might just need to google to see what a dad bod is. New to me that one. I certainly had a mum bod with stretch marks, I used to not like it when I was younger but now I embrace it.

I'm a fat guy, I'm not going to pretend otherwise, there is no real equivalent for men, of the bbw, so I call myself fat, I own the word, but I don't have a problem, other people have a problem,

I'm me, I love being me, and its only when you realise, that when people out people like me down, its to take attention away from their own insecurity.

There was an incident at the gym I used to go to, I knew a lot if the guys there, and we used to have a good laugh, and I had a running joke with some if the fitness model guys, if they were in my way, I'd say "move it fatty" in an ironic joke way, I said it to a guy one day, who to be fair to myself, I thought was one if the other guys, he git really upset by it, and said "you don't know what its like for guys like me, having to keep this lifestyle up", and he admitted he hated it.

So its not just guys with wobbly bits that get insecure, its all in the mind

Plus it helps that I'm a total dish

st andrews

I much prefer a dad bod to a muscly ripped gym body.

Myself, I used to be ashamed of my body but I've lost 6st in the past few years and while I still have a few stone to go I'm a lot more comfortable now. I'm happy to strip off in the gym changing room and don't care what anyone else thinks

I'm a dad, ergo I have a "Dad bod". If we're talking about men who have sired children, who eat and/or drink too much and do little or no exercise, and have pot bellies and layers of fat, then say so.
