There's no voyeuristic gains to be had from watching men, woman and children of all ages spout completely irrelevant bigoted terms at each other for a day which then become part of their fabric and prejudices. And this is before we even go in to the violence, public disorder and social unrest it causes. And of course you will hear those chants, but there's nothing good about watching 50,000 people, the vast majority of whom will be agnostic, trade blows about ancient religious battles and divide. Liverpool FC has a supporters club from Belfast of mixed backgrounds (has done for years) they come over and enjoy the footie and the city and set an example to the next generation. | |||
