I've just looked it up. I looked up the lyrics too. Reading the lyrics i'd say it's not a double entendre and was turned into a joke after the event.

I heard Ken Dodd say it was deliberate during a radio interview - he may have just been making it up after the event though - who knows

But whatever, I know what I heard him say several years ago, but he could have been bullshitting - after all, he fiddled his taxes, but that's another thread....
