Does disability repulse?

Just when does a disability become something that repulses other swingers? Are people comfortable meeting and swinging with severely disabled people? Totally blind people, severely disabled wheelchair users for example, and would people generally give those members a wide berth and not invite them to parties?

Disability doesn't repulse me.

And i wouldn't use someones disability as a reason to either not socialise or have sex with them.

Like alot of things on here it is entirely down to the individual and what they are comfortable with. There is discrimination and acceptance of all fetishes, sexualities and genres on here!

It doesn’t repulse me but I probably wouldn’t play with someone who is in a wheelchair like I also wouldn’t play with someone who is obese or someone with bad burns. That wouldn’t stop me liking them socially though.

Thats a very general question. For me (being very honest) I would need to know that the person could still do for me in the bedroom what anyone else could. I like a meeting of minds before the meeting of bodies. That said, I could never completely say it wouldn't bother me till I was in that situation.

Im miss practical so I'd like to make sure of their needs and know of their limitations - access to places etc., medicines if they took ill or how they manage toilet, washing etc. If I was required to help with their toilet needs then that and not their disability would put me off. I would find that a difficult task to do for either of my parents too. Its not as simple a thing in my eyes as saying disability puts you off or not but there has to be far more consideration of the practicalities just the same as weighing up the pros and cons of other meets.

i'd have my choices about what I like and dont like, but as a generalisation no, physical disability wouldnt be enough alone to put me off ..but I'd still have to like them enough to play if they were able bodied too.

the only thing which would be an absolute no-no with regards to disability is where I had any concern about the person's mental capacity to consent, make and communicate informed decisions.

definitely, access has to be a consideration, but so long as that person has no trouble with access, has the mental capacity to make an informed and consentual decision decision, doesn't need assistance with anything other than having a jolly fun time. The initial spark and attraction whether disabled or not is the most important I seem to read

Maybe it would be better for her to put it on her profile, that way she doesn't have to waste that hour or two chatting up a guy that won't want to play.

Unfortunately we live in a society where many are. I would never be repulsed by a disability if I was befriending someone, or going shopping with them, or having a meal with them. But put them naked by my side and ask me to be sexual with them and yes, in all honesty there will be some people with disabilities that would make me pull away. But having said that, there are some very able bodied folk about that would make me wretch more. An ugly mind is far uglier than a disabled body.

I'm reminded of a Si Kahn song, part of which runs,

Now what's the good of two strong legs

If you only run away?

And what use is the finest voice

If you've nothing good to say?

And what good is strength and muscle

If you only push and shove?

And what's the use of two good ears

If you can't hear those you love?

Between those who use their neighbours

And those who use a cane

Between those in constant power

And those in constant pain

Between those who run to evil

And those who cannot run

Tell me which ones are the cripples

And which ones touch the sun?

Social tolerance for the disabled is a different thing I think. Sexual attraction depends on lots of factors. If theres no attraction you can't create the electricity. I would hate to think anyone in my bed was being tolerant of me..... same as disabled people might not fancy everyone who fancies them...

Its an interesting thread and i think if we all honest, there are certain things which we dont find sexy in a person.

Be it a disability, looks, size and colour, attitude to life and for me the biggest one has to be "ugly from the inside out"

Meaning someone can be absolutely drop dead gorgeous but have an ugly attitude to others and be so far up their own arses. no one else matters but them.

I have a disability. Its not something noticable to others when meeting.

It limits the gymnastics in the bedroom but apart from that, i still function and feel and still like to have fun.

Just means i aint olga korbut beween the sheets

But those who know me well , also know it aint summat thats gonna put a halt on living, loving and having a good time

I would have no problem inviting disabled, blind, deaf etc. swingers to parties.

I would hope they say on their profile or when chatting though, you need to know how best to accommodate them.

As for sex? there would have to be that spark regardless of how enabled they were or were not.

I'm blind, I consider myself disabled by the attitudes of some others unfortunately. My tolerence towards other disabled people is that it doesn't matter to me, I have swung with blind women, deaf women and wheelchair users, it is that attraction and spark that decides whether or not I want to have sex with them or anyone come to that. I think that we all have a fairly similar _iew, disability isn't repulsive and it shouldn't repel, a bad additude and an ugly mind are greater turn offs.

Thanks for sharing the additional info about your situation, _iewpoints and experiences. But people will find all kinds of different things sexually repulsive and disability is just one of them. Disability deemed socially repulsive and a reason not to mix or invite is certainly bigotted. Really enjoyable read. Thanks for raising it.

Everyone can have a bad attitude disabled or not disabled. Looks wise we all like what we like.

on the subject of nabigating the website I use a screen reading software package called JAWS, the only feature on the whole site I have problems with is the chat. O, and photographs as well obviously, but I like to think that I am able to distinguish between beautiful people from their profiles. If I really feel that I need to have the photos described to me, then I ask a friend.

Fab has been really great for me, the help I received from the admin when I first wanted to set up and send e mails to people was fantastic, they dropped the visual capja nonsense for me as it wasn't accessible.

I think Fab is wonderful, I have met some really tremendous people and hope to continue to meet people and have loads more fun.

Haaaa haaaa haaaa haaaa haaaa...oooooh please, do me a favour! Shuh!!!

In answer to the OP...this is fantasy for me. My fantasy at the moment is tall, alpha (outside the bedroom) sub males. I wouldn't get a kick out of tying up and dominating a blind man say, any more than I would a 24 year old Adonis with 20/20 vision...not part of my fantasy.

To answer your question honestly and at the risk of being politically incorrect, I have a deep seated longing to fuck a female amputee, and have had for ages.

So, does that make me a sick monster, or someone who is inclusive towards people with a disability?

I used to go out with a dwarf for many months when I was a lot younger, at first I did it just for a laugh but the sex was great and my friends were very envious of me, they all wanted a go, for them it was of novelty value to bed someone different, in the end I didn't think of her being any different to my other girlfriends although i was over 6ft and she was nearly 4 ft the only thing that did me in was my constant bad back from all the bending over I had to do but we both laughed at this.

Really glad to hear that you can use this site to your advantage! I`ve played with a lady who has MS and is slowly using her eyesight and use of her legs. It does hurt to think that she used to play hockey and netball at a quite competitive level before she became ill but as long as you make allowances for her lack of mobility, there`s nothing to stop you both enjoying the experience!

A tough one to answer without sounding cruel.

"Repulsed" is the wrong word, but would have to say it would be "something else to think about".

We have met two people with what could be called a disability. One guy in a couple was totally up front about it before we met and said he wouldn't be offended if it put us off (leg ampuated below knee from car accident)

And they turned out a nice couple.

Then there was a single girl who had an amputated arm... and she hid the fact completely and looking at her profile later she was actually deceitful ie she had pictures with only one arm in shot but she had flipped some pictures left to right so she appeared to have a right arm and a left arm - when she had only the left!

She insisted on keeping the artifical arm on which was very ugly and also very cumbersome.

When we said "it's OK you can ... etc etc.... we don't have a problem..."

She got quite nastily aggressive - "well I don't so why the fuck should you?"

The evening did not go well

For sure, so long as each other understands how best to accommodate one another and not to assume anything, just because I can't see I don't want to be disempowered. I would rather someone ask me how best they can help than assume that I will need things done for me that I don't actually need as I don't have a physical disability that impedes my mobility

This is moving away from what you first posted a bit. You can't be repulsed by something you can't physically see - as in mental health. Lots of people have mental health problems/depression/phobias and function still, without anyone knowing of their problems as easily as a physical disability. Of course you can be affected by their behaviour and be wary but I don't think you can be repulsed by it can you?

Repulsed is a word I`m struggling with ...it kinda alludes to disgust ...one primal emotion that can be argued is a universal emotion ...no matter your origin of birth ..not something imbued by learning say ..

I would find it hard to have nsa sex with someone who was incontinent..and had a colostomy bag ....I would feel unease and uncomfortable..scared even ...but not repulsed ...
