Anyone else glad to see the old band getting back together after 20 years? They played the Troubadour in LA last night where they started out. Would have given left nut to be at that one

Titz Towers, North Notts

Sounds like an old railway line that had a wonderful line in art deco posters.

I think Slash is an awesome player, but always hated Axle's voice, all in the throat and nose, though on a few ballads he demonstrated he had good timbre as well as pitch and range.

However, squawking the way he did so often, for so long, has totally fucked his voice, like it has for so many singers who do the screechy rock voices too often. I saw a promo the other week and his voice was totally shot.

So no, won't be going to see them or hunting down vids, though I'm always interested in Slash's projects and guest apperances

Damn shame but totally true. Slash really was the backbone of all those classics.

How long before that implodes and Axl's ego gets in the way?

Some things are probably best left as they were

No idea why Slash thinks this is a good idea or how they convinced him to do this

I always liked Axels voice. Found it unique and pretty versatile. I've heard a few women say it's he's not as easy on the eye anymore, didn't he was. But Slash is the man. Still one of my favourite guitar players. Get the feeling that when or if they play over here, that's going to be one expensive ticket

They're getting something 5 million a show but they fans have been begging for this for years. I don't know why they'd need the money. They still get royalties form the first few albums and the likes of Slash has always done well for himself with his solo albums

Because of Axl ?

I'm seriously considering selling mine.

Think it might be interesting to see if he pulls it off. He maybe obliged to not act like prima-donna dickhead in someone else's band.
