"Like most things, stick it in the fridge and it'll last longer. I wouldn't dream of keeping unopened jam in the cupboard. Other than cereals, I actually can't eat anything that's been opened for any length of time and left out at room temperature." What about a block of butter in a butter dish on the bench? | |||

Butter is nearly all fat,meaning it hardly spoils by the fat/sugar route it just goes off by taste by oxidising | |||
