Wolverhampton

Apparently there is a new property based business started up specializing in semi-detached houses. They guarantee to improve the market value of your semi by at least 25%.

The work can only be done on a pair of free-hold semis and both owners have to be in contractual agreement over the process. It involves separating the semis into two detached houses by removing bricks, building new outer walls and damp-proofing and creating a new roof profile.

Good idea or what?

I imagine it reduces the size of the house and leaves a very narrow gap? I guess it's not a bad idea but the benefits will minimal given close proximity? Probably not that cost effective?

Detached houses do well for more than semis so it might be worth it. Time will tell.
