Notwithstanding the dire position of the steelworkers in Wales and elsewhere Oh what fun to see Cameron and his pals in such trouble. He is dammed by his own party if he re nationalises port Talbot steelworks and dammed by the country if he doesn't. He couldn't even get his arse into gear re the Tata board meeting and his business minister was taking his daughter on a jolly to austalia. Of course he won't stop China dumping steel. He needs the Chinese to build Hinckley Point

Well it is Labours fault really. If it hadn't been for the Labour party and the trade unions, then the steel workers would be working for £1.50 per hour, as they should, and be grateful for it. We would then be able to compete with China, and the steel works owners would still be very rich.

Leftie bastards.

He should be more like the Germans.... they still subsidise their coal industry, even though it's against EU rules.... but then I guess if you're the one in charge, you don't have to follow the rules....

France does it often too, it's not just Germany.

The UK could do it, but won't.

That's the thing that underlies a lot of the Brexit/remainian rhetoric. The EU is a handy excuse for a lot of things that have benefited the allies of all our main political parties, at the expense of the general public.

(As an aside, I thought comrade Corbyn summed up the nationalisation option quite well yesterday. When asked who would pay for it, he said something like 'we all will. Me and you.')
