An actual letter?

I've sent cards (that weren't for xmas or bdays) and postcards etc - but not an actual letter for about 8 years.

Although I received a handwritten letter on Saturday.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Saturday. It was an official, formal one though, not a social one.

I write letters to friends who live a long distance from me and relatives abroad.

Having cleared a loved ones house and found lots of old letters - I think it's a shame we all won't have that social history.

Face ache and email, even photos stored online. Just isn't the same.

Once a week, I write to my cousin in Wales, it started because he is a game developer, and we had a discussion about not being able to write on paper properly, so several pints later we decided that its good for me to write being as I'm not that good at it because of being dyslexic, and its good exercise, so I'm not using auto correct all the time, and he spends so much time in cyberspace, it would be good for him to sit down and write with proper paper and pen for a change.

If it has to actually be a letter, I'd guess roughly about 1989

Last time would have been what forces refer to as a 'Bluey' they are forces airmail, and that was Jan '09 from Iraq.

I regularly write to my elderly auntie. I enjoy doing it. I used to write to a cousin every week but now we use fb!

Yes quite often as when sent recorded although expensive means the other person gets it.

People have a habit of ignoring e mails when it suits them.

When dealing in any legal matters never use text or e mails even though they may want you to.

If I get a text or e mail off a solicitor I say send proper letter or you get no reply simple.

Emails can get lost but when a letter is received in writing you can lock it away safely.
