For the first time in my life I'm going to be at home alone as Fred is going to be away for 10 nights. I will have little ones at home so the daytime is fine, but what on earth am I going to do on an evening? So far I have a meal out with friends, a few nights away down south planned, but other than I think it's going to be wine, chick flicks and masturbation. But actually shitting myself about it, I had no idea I was so needy.

Besides, wine and masturbation sounds like a good night on to me!

I love time on my own, as it's pretty rare. You can pamper yourself - long soak in the bath, do your nails, watch any crappy tv you fancy, invite a friend round for coffee or a takeaway. Can you still Skype each other, as that'll make it easier.

Horsham

Get a group of girls round for a chick flick night, or maybe an Ann Summers party.

Titz Towers, North Notts

Go to a few comedy nights. Paint the bedroom in a fetching leopard print motif to surprise him when he returns. Host a dinner party. Games night with friends. Borrow a box set he's not interested in. Do the ultimate mix tape for the car

He'll have no internet access so no skyping but as they say absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I like the idea of redecorating, last time I did this we ended up with cow print kitchen cupboards
