My hubby was engaged to a very famous pop star in the seventies. She went to school with his Sisters and was the Daughter of the family doctor. They had a mad seven-month teenage fling before he left the town to join the Army.

She came to our wedding some fifteen years later. Still as mad as a box of frogs!!

I used to be good friends with a couple of guys who are in massive bands who've played arenas and festivals all over the world. Lucky so and sos. Been fortunate enough to meet and go on the piss with some cool rock stars, but the most awesome person I ever met through a friend was Liv Tyler. Stood next to her at her then husbands band Spacehog at a gig in Leeds. Probably the only time I've been truly star struck.

"When I came to the UK I can vaguely remember coming home to find Robert Maxwell conversing with my Grandad round the table. Whilst I was very young I also thought he was a bit of a rogue.

To the present a famous Cricketer now Sports personality and presenter. Not Freddie though.
