What do you mean by fakes?

People not who they say they are - eg men posing as women etc? Or people that eventually decide they don't want to meet?

How do you ultimately find out they're fakes?

Is there any way you can ramp up your own security to detect them? Add they photo verified, are they verified in person by others meeting them?

As others have said - if you were duped by them what security measures do you propose the site puts in place?

Not being deliberately awkward here but I guess it's not easy to 'spot' a fake and the site admin do post guidelines to help people spit fakes before meeting

OP please be specific, is it time wasters or fakes you want gone?

please define exactly what each is, and then exactly how a computer can identify them. You can't have algorithms without precise definitions.

Maybe think about how you go about things, there are so many different ways of meeting people on here, socials, clubs, private parties.

Lots of people on here complain about time wasters and fakes as well as the ones who post that they cannot get a meet, but cannot be bothered to make the effort to go to some of the events that are posted on here and meet people face to face.

If you keep encountering the same problem, then look at how you are going about things and look to try a different approach.

Il stand up for new people I'm not a time waster.I have been on a site before aff my profile is still up I think .I chose to get to know people first plus my life's a little fucked up at the moment. And I'm not bothered if people like me or not .but it's different if I met people in the flesh it would be a different case because I generally get a long with everyone. I'm extrovert sometimes go inrovert so I am who I am and I'm here to stay whether I'm verified or not .I'm patient I can out wait a tortoise .

First thing we do is check out the profile .

If the couple have been on for a while with no meets in person , we see that as a potential timewaster .

Take from that what you will , but there's really no reason to have not met anyone at all if you're a couple . Even if it's just a social meet , it's not difficult to find someone to have a coffee with is it ?

It's a free site, without the budget of the fbi, so resources are limited. It partly depends on users reporting suspect fakes to admin. Genuine users outnumber active fakes I'd imagine - and it'll only be us getting duped. As such it's fairly simple for users to have a phenomenal cleansing force here. It just needs all suspect profiles being reported.

And users to develop their expertise in spotting inappropriate profiles and behaviour.

And for us to assume that most people that we chat with to not result in a mutual match that leads to a meeting. I think some feel strung along when somebody else goes quiet or doesn't meet them - we need these interactions that lead to dead ends. Waving well matched successful meets, from sufficient choice here, is what makes the site great. That and the forums.

We should be learning most from our failures, so don't write them off too quickly - even if you've reported or blocked others in the process.

I'm sure Admin have so much time on their hands that they can be doing that. best thing is just to accept that there are dickheads on this and every other site no matter what. Just be a it careful when you arrange things but most of all remember that nothing is foolproof and if one of the so called 'timewasters' raises its ugly head then roll with the punches, accept it and move on - it ain't no big deal in the great scheme of things

I mentioned this on another site.. But most fakes create profiles that aren't spam... They are just folk who get off on wasting your time or are too shit scared to follow through with meets...

The site could pull it's socks up in certain instances if it was really interested but sorting them completely is an impossibility and always has been. The place would need an division of bodies (£££) sussing time wasters out.

Not forgetting the point you conclude someone is a time waster has always been contentious discussion point. Computer or phone meltdowns, last minute life disasters in time for swing meets are commonplace for some plus everyone has the right to change their mind with or without telling the other party (respect/manners aint required by law)

Sadly time wasters have all the techniques, all the excuses and some go to great lengths. It's their habit if not a honed hobby. Most are just pisstakers that go no further than the keyboard. Some will speak on the phone, have you travel, be in touch on route only to find they go phone silent once you've arrived, hide their profile, blocked you or leave the site, at which point you realise you've been had.

I guess for some the control in getting someone's priv pics, some personal info or wasting someone's day/night/money seems bigger fix than sexy fun. Strange & sad but to be expected from life's sometimes unavoidable weirdo's.

There's plenty of diamonds and genuine people on here but certainly a sad mass of not so diamond or genuine too that make you wonder at times.

If ever the fun is outweighed by the juggling of s#it, it's time to have a re-think or take a step back.
