A (hopefully) non-contentious thread - modifying t-shirts

I'm sure some of you are into modding and altering t-shirts. I need some ideas and suggestions please.

I have a large, long, loose t-shirt with an all over repeating print in the front, (superheroes, if anyone cares). The back is plain white. It's standard, round neck, standard t-shirt sleeves and made of thinnish poly-cotton.

It was obviously cheaply made and when it was printed, the arms were up against the body of the shirt, so the underarm area is unprinted, which looks a bit crap. The unprinted area on each side is a different size and shape.

Does anyone have any ideas for modding it?

I'll take a pic if anyone needs one to see what I'm on about.

How about making lots of slits in it , down both sides . Bring them round a bit towards the front around the chest so we can see your tits and a nice nipple if it pops out

Make it into a handbag - add some denim into it too. I've seen a brilliant one made from a shirt recently.

Or just accessorise it.

Those would be really long zippers! Have you seen the size of her boobs?

I've wondered about trying corset making. I think it would look great used over stiffer material as a corset.

That's probably a bit of an advanced challenge for me at the moment though.

That could work. I'm not sure about Iron Man and the Hulk with diamonds though!

If it's long could you not save the printed fabric, flip it on its side, sew into a tube and turn it into a skirt?

Bugger. The pictures would be going the wrong way.

That would work.

I've just seen a method for cutting two lines across the back and binding the middle of the section created to make a bow effect.

I could position it and size it to cover my bra strap too, which is often a problem with that style of top.

It's a pretty random looking print. It might work.
