Glastonbury

Large attic room, white, except for the far wall which is painted in a dark grey appropriately called Bowler Hat. Books, some plants, sink, a marble top washstand and antique mirror. Two velux windows on the roof and a large one on the far wall.

And on the expansive, curved ceiling I've made a vaguely scale model of the solar system in glow in the dark stars, with various constellations picked out.

Looks lovely when you turn the lights out.

When I moved in there was purple and black leopard print wallpaper at each end, and u hated it, but being as its the last room in the house to be decorated, I've grown to.like it, so I'm keeping it at one end, and I'm going to run with it, I've bought a pair of purple curtains that are about 1.5 meters too long lol, they were brand new IKEA ones still in the packaging, that I git for a fiver from a charity shop, and I've bought a zebra print rug too, all that remains is to work out if my mod and northern soul theme decupage bed side tables, chest if drawers, and dresser will go in there, if not there is about to be some very unique furniture going up for sale lol

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

"Mine is bare white and I can't wait to get decorating! "

Well, if you're doing a Licketysplits bedroom could you come and do mine too?

It's purple walls, long gauzy curtains over a white blind, dark oak bedstead with white bedding (currently with embroidered rosebuds but often just white with a texture to the material), a bedside table, a big gold framed mirror over the bed, an old utility dressing table, a built in wardrobe with clothes hanging on the outside, a full clothes rail with all the shoes under it, a chair with more clothes on it and a big TV. Bare floors.

I need to get rid of some clothes again.

I want to re-paper it but I can't choose what I want.

South West London / Surrey

Our bedroom isn't how we want it but it's better than it was when we moved in.

It did have lilac walls with shitty brown painted woodwork and a green swirl carpet.

Until we get round to gutting it and starting from scratch. We've painted the walls & woodwork white and put in some white & black accessories. It looks alright from a distance.

Strangely, though I love colour and loud patterns clothes wise, I like my house to be just neutral, every room is pale cream, the curtains are all pale, the light fittings are all glass. The only colour in my bedroom would be the bedding which is very bright and the bunting.

Behind the wardrobe doors is a multitude of colour though.

On another note, bunting is really easy to make and does look nice, it's a cheap way to add an individual touch

Chams or Socials

Mine's needs decorating but I can't decide what to do!! It was last decorated in 2005 I think.

Currently 3 walls are cream & the fireplace wall is a dark lime/Apple green. I have a tv, mirror, chest of drawers & wardrobe mostly covering the green. A window takes up most of 1 cream wall & wardrobes 1 of the other cream walks.

Bedding is reversible white & beige brown with butterflies & matching curtains & a beige brown carpet.

I have a large Jennifer Hogwood painting above my bed which is my early 40th birthday present from my dad. It's a cow with glittery butterflies on the right hand side.

I'm tempted to go duck-egg blue to reflect the butterflies in the picture.

My eldest's (14) bedroom is grey with white furniture & black bedding & carpet. I love it!!!
