Bradford

Co-op asked 4000 people some questions. These included rushing to the aid of someone in need, handing back something that had been dropped, giving up a seat on public transport and taking in parcels for neighbours.

Bristol

Belfast

Aberdeen

Southampton

Cardiff

Bradford

Oxford

Manchester

Coventry

Norwich

Sheffield

Nottingham

York

Edinburgh

Leeds

Birmingham

Liverpool

Glasgow

London

You might not be surprised to hear London came bottom, with some residents saying they were reluctant to help amid fears it would ‘look weird’.

Glastonbury

Interesting stuff.

Does the list run the spectrum (ie from Brizzo = kindest to London = meanest) or is this the top 20? or how does it work.

Quite like Bristol.

I think they got it right. I'm from Bristol and I'm well nice so that's proof enough for me.

Doesn't surprise me that Bristolians are gert lush (in their daps) - no mention of lots of cities in that list though and I wonder where my home town Reading would have come if towns were included hmmm

Brighton - even Hove!

I don't shop at the co op so they didn't ask me so that's why Brigjton isn't on the list.
