This is all a bit circular. We have no idea why you cannot convince her that you did not look at her phone.

Actually, if you charged it for her, you did technically look at her phone, if not the content in it.

We have no idea about your relationship with her. We have no idea about your or her history, present or future hopes. How on earth can we answer? How can you prove a negative? Oh, no, I didn't. Oh, yes, you did.

right tell her you miss her, but also tell her you wasn't in her phone and don't know why she keeps accusing you of this. (it's possible she looks in your phone without your knowledge so is paranoid you're doing it to her).

leave it at that.

if someone accuses me of doing something i haven't done it usually is because they're doing it themselves and are paranoid.

Yup, the quote I saw was 'Sorry doesn't have to mean you are wrong, just that you value your relationship more than your ego.'

You don't have to apologize for looking on her phone if you did not, you apologize for getting angry or saying harsh words, and you express your desire to restore things and put it behind you because her friendship means a lot to you. Just be honest about your feelings now.

I would send a message saying I can't change whether or not you think I looked at the phone. I think it shows you don't trust me and that hurts. I think the world of you and your friendship is really important to me. I trust you enough to show my vulnerable side, can you do the same for me?

If the phone is password protected and there is no way of me knowing it and I have told them that I did not look but they think I am lying, then I'm not sure I want to be friends with someone who cannot trust me.

I suggest Sweet you put a passcode on your phone so if i move it / charge it / it won't cause an issue

Darling if u r concerned ....just ensure ur messages don't come up on the screen - change the settings

I won't touch ur phone

Don't worry about it after that and thus no false apology xx

My theory is that she's secretly in love with you and has been writing love notes to you on her phone, your picture is her background etc. and she's been accusing you of looking at her phone to make you actually go and look at it to discover this dark secret, then because you claim you haven't actually looked at it she's gotten all upset and embarrassed and now doesn't want anything to do with you!
