Chapters in your life

I map my life by chapters, each set of exeriences or significant points in my life have been a chapter. So if you was to write a book, would you write about one chapter of your life in depth or would you briefly go through your whole life.

Personally, i would concentrate on one chapter

i think i would attempt something non linear,focusing on themes rather than a straight forward time line.

i am fascinated by your mapping idea,do you write or diagram or do it in your head?

I do it in my head, some things have a set time line and some things follow me through each chapter.

For example, if i was in a relationship for 5 years and it ended, i would deal with it then put the chapter to bed and turn the page.

Another example

Swinging, swinging has always been in my adult life so it has a place in each chapter.

Therefore if i was writing about the five year relationship there would be elements of swingin it as its following me through life.

Not sure if that makes sense.

If i was to write one just about swinging it would be about experiences and have no time line. Some things have definate closures and some dont

Id write one chapter at a time definitely.

Different jobs, significant people etc etc.

Swinging will definitely feature and become a chapter. Not only has it awakened sexual desires I didnt even know I had, but its given me amazing confidence, so that deserves a chapter I think

There has to be a beginning a middle and a end to all storys so my book would never be finised untill i was dead.

My ex-hubby, bless him, sent me a card after my late partner's death, saying something in the line of, although his death was tragic, a chapter in my life has just been closed, however, it is only one chapter in book that still has many more still to be written.

That really cheered me up no end, and I burst into tears!
