As its coming up to Easter will you be making a bonnet for the little ones

Or in my case for work ?

Mines a yellow straw hat with feathers eggs and flowers on with a twist.

I work in connection with farming so added a plastic cow, pig and sheep.

As a kid did you mum make you one ?

This is my first

We used to make paper mache creations with a balloon - fits perfect on a head with the end cut off. Paint it lots of colours. Stick a nest on top - job done. We won a couple of times.

We did as kids, I remember spending hours with my sister and three cousins making bonnets for an easter bonnet parade every year at our local WMC where they did tons of things for kids, discos, fun days, seaside trips. Bring back the good old days. Very fond memories x

In the process of making them today, I remember doing may poles when I was little. Isn't it all the vestiges of fertility ceremony's?
