Oh, I imagine there will be a sideways move from him at some point. He's bound to get his claws in somewhere.

The government has u-turned on the cuts, although I imagine different cut policies are already being drawn up.

Ian did right, he didn't agree with osborns inhuman benefits cuts and quit. I think we will see the party to crack open. Not sure who will replace him.

apparently he said he wouldn't take the job if the cuts went ahead.

I heard it was stephen crabb replacing him?

When the chancellor is Gideon and a leading contender for leader of the opposition is Andy Burnham you can safely say there is a dearth of talent in the front line of politics in this country.

It would seem that the new guy,is exactly the same as the old one.

Only able to repeat "everything is fine" and keep his mouth shut when anything needs an honest answer.

The government does what it wants, if you don't like it, they'll do it anyway. If you really don't like it, they'll repackage it or change the name and do it anyway.

"So.. Different person, same cutbacks on the disabled? "

Should replace him with a Turnip..either way,yes we do need a re-evaluation of the benefits system. There are far too many lazy fookers in this country..

Born on a council estate to a single mum!!.... Oh yeah it sounds so much more plausible than coming from an ex army Sandhurst guy .

.

.

.

Personally I think you'd have been better off with someone like ids who was willing to say something when it's overstepped the mark!, this guy will just tow the party line over anything now.

Coleford, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

It doesn't really matter who replaces IBS, I mean IDS. They have all come out of the same stable ( or should that be pig sty ? )

Whatever sort of spin Call Me Dave and Lynton Crosby put on it the CONservatives will never be a one nation party. I am amazed that any intelligent person could believe such lies.

Now now, I'm sure there are some decent and honourable Conservative Mps...Somewhere.

Not that Labour are much better.
