living alone!

I wouldn't say living alone like I'm a proper adult or nuffink lol just free house. Funny really, all the time I'm thinking can't wait to move back out again but now I have the house to myself... it's horrible.

The silence, just can't bare it! I make the slightest bang and it's the most horrific offence to my ears lol scared to make a squeak! It's lonely, depressing and miserable.

HOW DO YOU COPE!

Love it.

I am responsible to nobody;

I come and go as I please;

I have the time to do the things I want to do.

I socialise with people on my terms

And I am very content with my own company ....

I love it. When I married my ex it was straight from my parents home so when I left him last summer it was the first time id lived alone ever! There is no way I'm living with anyone else ever again. I adore my freedom n the peace n quiet infact when anyone comes up the stairs (i live in a block of flats) I wanna open my door n scream at them hahaha x

As an introvert, I love silence. When the kids are at their dad's and Lee's not staying, it's nice and peaceful - in some ways, I have the perfect set-up

Definitely feeling that one! So isolated! I feel sad for people stuck in by themselves everyday, luckily I mix and mingle at work all day but if I didn't do that I'd soon fall into a depression! Oooooh dogs sneezing company!!!

before I had kids, solitude didn't bother me. mother worked away 3 days a week. middle of nowhere, no ambient noise, no traffic. When it's silent, it really is silent. When I brought my now ex back the first time ( townie) and turned the car off, her jaw dropped at the sheer silence...

now we're seperated and I'm back here, I can't hack the quiet at all! When the kids are here, fine. .. noisy fun.. as soon as they go.. the quiet hits. I just spend my time sorting things. . Garden, cars, bikes.. keeping busy.

can't sleep in silence either. . Have to have the tv or fan on, or a loop of the kids snoring, or use Nytol. yet at work I'd rather work solo.. Go figure.

I;ve never really lived alone until last summer. Despite the fact that I've always liked solitude and my own space. I found it weird to begin with and would work late or find other distractions to not be home alone too much. But now I absolutely love it.

This is my scenario! Why happens if someone breaks in, where can I escape, where's my nearest exit. Do "they" know I'm home alone. I swear I hear people knocking at the door as well and I have to mute the tele! What happens tomorrow morning when I'm up at 6 leaving the house for 7, do I need to make the house look lived in?! This is the worst week ever. Dying must be easier than living right now.

I often hear noise,s occasionally I get a visit but thats because (I believe such things).. but being family hopefully I don,t mind reasureing in some ways to me, could not stand silence 24/7 so its good to mix it up a bit thou the dark months can be long, after 11 years I,ve found my way a bit and realise things more time does all these things.

Go CCTV. I have 4 cameras with night vision giving a compass coverage of entry/exit points (mostly for the cars sakes), and I also have a panning night vision wireless cam in the eaves at the front maintaining an eye on the approach road.

Totally frivolous, but it reassures the kids. I keep my leatherman under the pillow.
