Just read Tess of the D'Ubervilles again, great read.

Hated Of Mice and Men. It's finally off some literature lists for exams! Thank goodness.

I'm not a fan of novels as I'd rather read about factual stuff

So I would recommend Bury my heart at Wounded knee by Dee Brown

I have no desire to read the follow up as it will ruin it for me

I'm enjoying One day in the life of Ivan Denisovich. It's also put me off of going to Siberia for a holiday.

Scunthorpe

I hated Wuthering Heights - one of the few books I gave up on.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dracula, though the Victorian writing style took a bit of getting used to.

Twickenham

Little Dorrit for English A Level. 900 pages of yawnarama. The fact it's so long made clearer by the fact Dickens got paid by the page....

Not with you there!

Love Dickens - particularly Bleak House - thought Catcher In The Rye was complete tosh!

I love Hardy! Although, some of it is ridiculous to be fair.

I really struggle to get into the Russian classics.

Norwich

Agree about Dracula, I also enjoyed the original Frankenstein althout it is rather a tragic tale. I'd also highly recommend For Whom the Bell Tolls, Brighton Rock, The Cruel Sea, and several Conrad novels, perhaps his short story Typhoon is the most accessible.
