Mistaken veri nightmare knock on

Bit boring this.

Just need someone to do me a favour like, so just humour me!

Bit of a long winded typical regarding me mix up!

I got a social veri from a bloke which was polite and non sexual(this part is kind of key), but was a case of mistaken identity(he thought he'd bumped in to someone else at a group social).

This was fine by me and I said hey no worries. But I didn't realise that it had got posted to my profile(or that i had authorised it by accident).

I then got chatting to a lady yesterday when all of a sudden she sent a message saying: 'I don't meet gays', based on this veri. She also blocked me because of this.

Now for the sake of (practically irrelevant) info, I'm straight, and beside the fact that her comment revealed herself to be potentially homophobic(or not, could be just her taste, I'm not necessarily knocking her), I would rather the same situation didn't arise again...(all the single blokes on here KNOW how hard it is to attract a woman if you'r e not of the Chris Hemsworth/Jonny Depp mould).

Could someone look at my profile and see if the veri is still showing? I've hidden my veris(still only the one...)but I'm aware that on some profiles you can see how many meets a person has had and with what gender: does it say I've had one meet and one veri by a man still? Cos if it does then I have no idea of how to get rid of it!?

Shame as it was a sweet,polite, strictly non typical veri as well.

You can't see anything.. Just green tick..

But why would you hide it if it was as you say.. A polite social veri...?

Also you could contact admin and ask it to be removed if it was a mistaken veri..

I had no problem with it. I assumed it might have been displayed but wasn't sure as i didn't remember going through authorisation pages or whatever, but it didn't really concern me as it was, as mentioned, just the equivalent of: he's a nice guy etc. And as far as I was concerned it couldn't be read into the way this lady obviously did.

But because she did infer that, and that cooled any interest, I'd rather not take the risk again!

I'd rather know if someone was homophobic or racist. It's better to know beforehand so you don't have an awkward conversation afterwards when they say they don't meet women who fuck bi or black men. If someone can dismiss you because you chatted to a man at a social then I would say they aren't worth meeting. But that's just me

Search your name, click on it, Friend request or hotlist yourself and you can see your profile as others do

Account.. Edit profile.. There is a link at top of page to your profile

If you block it stops it showing, but if you unblock it shows again, so it hides rather than disappears

The veri would disappear but the green tick and the sex of the person who verified you remains, it's just the text that goes

Really ? When I'm in any area of the site there are tabs along the top - home, my account, browse, chat etc.

I just click on 'my account' then the link to how my profile appears is there. Strange that you can't see it

This is my feelings to but understand what you mean op. I've had similar as I have veris from guys and TVs and like you am also straight. The way I see it is if somebody want to block me because of who my friends are then carry on. It shows more about them than me so are doing me a favour.

Cam i say im not homophobic far from it but i dont meet guys who meet other guys.. my preference and also johnny depp.. yuck and chris Hemsworth double yuck

No veri or veri summary showing when I look. I've Fabbed a couple of your pics, in the hope that it gets you some more attention.

O befriend and verify people I meet and people can take the wrong assumptions, if they are somewhat inattentive. Don't sweat it.
