"Politicians will never please everyone, it's the very nature of the beast. One person wants one thing, another wants another. Each parliamentarian is there to serve their constituency and each constituency has very different economic and life needs so no one will ever be fully satisfied. That to me is what makes politics so interesting." Political issues are far too important to be left to politicians ![]()

That to me is what makes politics so interesting. Political issues are far too important to be left to politicians ![]() That's why we all have the right to debate, all have the right to campaign and meet our politicians either at the house of commons or in their consituency offices to give our opinion, and most importantly, the right to vote in elections ![]()

"One day i would like a politician to be working class. Called janice or dave and be from a small town. ![]() Then you have the right to do something about it, it may not change anything but that is democracy in action. You can talk to your local MP, campaign parliament, write to Downing Street, strike in certain public sectors, use unions to argue your case, vote stand for election, all of these things are afforded to you as a democratic right in this country so use them

That's why I advocate speaking to MPs, make your voice heard, as without that the MPs and parliament do not know.

"Look at clegg though getting votes on the back of keeping the Sheffield steel going and back uni students over fees then sold them all out to join the former coalition government. The very votes he one were on false promises! Cunts trick that " No Clegg had little choice in the matter of tuition fees, that would have passed with or without his involvement. Politics, especially in coalition governments, is about give and take, that particular issue would have come to be whether it was a coalition or a Conservative majority government.

I think the moderating influence of the Lib Dems on policy, during the coalition, is much more evident now the Tories have a freer reign on policy.

There were probably only 10 out of 60 like that in the years i worked with them at one authority. One litterally turned every meeting into a dicussion about dog mess even when much more serious things where on the agenda. Ive seen some fall asleep in meetings with execs about what jobs they were gonna cut and decisions about cutting social care adults and children. Im only speaking about one particular authority which i hope is outside the norm xx
