You can talk to your local MP, campaign parliament, write to Downing Street, strike in certain public sectors, use unions to argue your case, vote stand for election, all of these things are afforded to you as a democratic right in this country so use them | |||

Actually the majority of politicians, from local parish council, right up to parliament have not loved privileged lives, yes, I won't deny some have, they are the ones who get publicity, but there are many who work very hard at their jobs, and have earned the right to represent the general public in the job they do.
Im sure thats the case. However i also know quite a few in shall we say deprived areas who are affluent and havent worked a day in their lives. I could also name one who is senior in one party who has been linked to child abuse and is still in a postion of power. They have been under investigation for 4 years!
Many get in because of who they know and parents or partners. "When i say child abuse i should clarify they havent been accused personally but it is being investigated whether they had knowledge of it happening last time they were in that position. | |||

There were probably only 10 out of 60 like that in the years i worked with them at one authority. One litterally turned every meeting into a dicussion about dog mess even when much more serious things where on the agenda. Ive seen some fall asleep in meetings with execs about what jobs they were gonna cut and decisions about cutting social care adults and children. Im only speaking about one particular authority which i hope is outside the norm xx | |||
