maybe. it could be a good film but i don't think it looks good so far. my ex was asking about it otherwise i wouldn't have bothered watching the trailer even.

You guys know it's not a remake, right? And it should have been left alone. Blame Bill Murray. He kept throwing a spanner in the works for Ghostbusters 3. If they'd just done a G3 then maybe we wouldn't be forced to endure this one.

It is a reboot, in this new universe the male crew never existed and the original actors are doing cameos as new characters.

Just a rumour. Robert Zemeckis has been quoted as saying that any remake will happen "over his dead body"

I agree. The video game will always be the third Ghostbusters movie in my books.

As for the new movie, I think the comedy seen in the trailer is a little over the top which I fear will overshadow the darker moments if there is any at all.

We do have a Ghostbusters 3 its the game

As for the trailer is very poor the first 30secs they got wrong it was 32 years ago and it was not 4 scientists only 3 and Winston joined as he would believe anything for a paycheck. Am all for an all female ghostbusters but its like the writers are telling the same story but changed the gender

It's wrong wrong wrong!!!! Trying to reboot ghostbusters with 4 women doesn't work. If they had made it the kids of the originals or something and had a couple of females then yes I might have watched it but just to do a plain remake shows a serious lack of effort. I won't be watchin it and I hope it fails at the cinema. Don't mess with the classics!!!

I can't wait to see it. I was excited as soon as i heared about it, and the anticipation is building. There have been loads of films lately that are old themes - just look at the success of superman etc. the backlash against this film for a female cast is absurd and pathetic.

Superman is a bad example, comic books are constantly rebooted and reworked. Even the comics have different iterations of characters. Hell there's even a communist Russian Superman.

The main issue people have with this is one of two things. The fact that they seem to have got the humour completely wrong, not followed the subtlety and sarcasm of the original and gone with obvious, garish and loud performances.

Secondly the female actors that they chose to put out are just not strong, or horribly miscast. There are way better examples of female talent out there. And I'm actually worried that due to the backlash against this film, then we will consequently see less female driven features in the future.

The backlash against this movie is not because its an all female cast.

When you watch the Trailer the jokes are not funny not very well written and for fans of the original they manage to get it wrong in the first 30secs of that trailer when they said 4 scientists and mis-lead people into thinking its a sequel when infact its a reboot and all it looks like they have done is change the gender

Hollywood has run out of ideas that they are rebooting classic's there was no need for a new Ghostbusters just as there was no need for a new Robocop or Total Recall.

The only one ive seen so far thats been just as good if not better than the original is Dredd.

You only have to see how many Director's the Crow remake has had and the amount of actors that sign on then sign off on it. The Crow is a classic and does not need a remake.

The reason for so many comic book movies is because its popular right now and there are thousands of comics and graphic novels that could be told in a Superman , Batman , Spider-man movies
